Ingredients

  • Cream Cheese Pastry:
  • 1/2 pound cream cheese
  • 1 cup butter, 2 sticks
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 cups flour
  • Chocolate Filling:
  • 16 tbsp Nestle' Chocolate Quik
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

1. In large bowl of mixer, beat together butter and cream cheese until mixture is blended. Beat in egg yolk. Add flour and beat until blended. Do not overbeat.

2. Turn dough out onto floured was paper, form dough into a circle, wrap it in wax paper and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

3. In a small bowl combine nestle chocolate quick, chocolate chips and walnuts.

4. Divide dough into fourths. Roll out one part at a time to measure a 10" square. Spread 1/4 of the filling over the dough. Roll it up jelly roll fashion to measure a 10x3" roll.

5. Place seam side down, on a 12x16 non stick baking pan. Repeat with remaining 3 parts of dough. Bake at 350F for 30 mins or until top is lightly browned. Cool in pan. Cut into slices and sprinkle tops generously with sifted powdered sugar.
