Step 1
In a large bowl combine 2/3 lb grated Gruyere cheese, 1/3 lb Swiss cheese, and 2 tbsp cornstarch. In saucepan heat 1 c dry white wine to almost boiling, then alternately stir in small amounts of cheese with 1 c 2 percent or whole milk, stirring constantly. Make sure each additoin of cheese is melted before adding the next. Stir in 1 tbsp cherry flavored brandy, drop of tabasco sauce and pepper. Rub fondue pot with garlic and transfer cheese mixture to fondue pot. Serve with french or sourdough bread, cooked skin on red potaotoes, varity of vegetables, ham cubes, cooked cocktail sausages, dill pickle chunks.
