- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 pound (8 ounces) dark chocolate, finely chopped
- cocoa powder, chocolate for dipping, shredded coconut, toasted nuts, etc.

Preparation
Step 1
Combine cream and chocolate together in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high at 30 second intervals, stirring well between each interval until chocolate is melted and glossy with no lumps.
Pour ganache into a shallow dish and cool, uncovered, in the refrigerator for at least two hours or until set firm.
Use a small cookie dough scoop or a spoon to portion the ganache into scoops of generally equal size. Roll the scoops between your hands to form balls.
Drop the balls into your favorite garnish and roll around to evenly coat. You may need to slightly press the garnish into the ganache to help it adhere.
If not serving immediately, store between layers of wax or parchment paper in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
