Ingredients

  • 5

    egg yolks

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • 3

    tsp corn starch

  • 3

    tsp flour

  • 3

    tsp vanilla

  • 1

    12oz can evaporated milk

  • 12

    oz whole milk

  • 1/4

    cup margarine

  • 3

    heaping tbls Cocoa

  • 1

    10 inch pie shell

  • Meringue Ingredients:

  • 5

    egg whites

  • 1

    dash of cream of tartar

  • 1/4

    cup sugar

Directions

Bake pie shell per package instructions. Mix all ingredients and bring to a slow boil. Cook until thickned. Pour into pie shell. Meringue: Beat egg whites on high until fluffy. Add cream of tartar and gradually add sugar while beating. Spread on pie and bake @ 400 degrees until meringue is slightly browned. Allow to cool.
