Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • grated rind of 1 orange

Step 1

Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour and baking powder and add alternately with the wet ingredients. Bake in 2 - 8" layer pans for 35 minutes at 350°F or for 40-45 minutes in a 9" x 13" pan.
Ice with orange icing made with orange juice instead of milk. I usually add a little grated orange rind as well.
