- 1 package (18 ½ oz.) butter-flavor cake mix with pudding
- ½ cup of oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges
- ½ cup chopped walnuts

*Frosting recipe follows:*
Grease two 9 inch layer cake pans. Line bottoms with waxed paper; grease again; set aside. Prepare cake mix according to package directions using oil, eggs and juice drained from oranges. Stir in oranges and nuts; spread evenly in prepared pans. Bake in preheated oven at 325deg for 25 minutes or until pick can be inserted in center and come out clean. Cool in pans: on racks 10 minutes. Remove from pans; peel off paper on serving plate. Spread with one-third frosting. Top with remaining layer; fronts top and sides. Makes 12 servings.
*Frosting:*
In medium bowl stir together one 20 oz. can crushed pineapple in pineapple juice and 1 package (4 –serving size) vanilla instant pudding. Fold in 1 cup thawed frozen whipped cream.
