Garlic Bread

For decades, Brennan’s of Houston and Commander’s Palace have made guests smile by offering a plate of hot and toasty garlic bread before their meal!

Ingredients
- 1 fresh-baked French baguette
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Split loaf of bread lengthwise.
In a small bowl, blend cheese, garlic, parsley and salt; reserve.
Brush cut sides of loaf with butter; sprinkle generously with reserved cheese mixture. Place bread on a baking sheet; bake 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven; cut into desired size pieces.
Chef’s Tip: Substitute 1 teaspoon garlic powder for fresh garlic.
