Baked Bang Bang Shrimp

Ingredients

  • bag of 40 XL shrimp, cleaned, deveined, and tail off
  • 3/4 c buttermilk
  • 1/4 c flour
  • 1/4 c cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 T garlic powder
  • 1 t paprika
  • 1/2 T hot sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • panko breadcrumbs
  • Sauce
  • 1/4 c mayonnaise
  • 2 T sweet chili sauce
  • 1/2 T hot sauce
  • 1 T honey

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a med bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Add hot sauce, egg, and buttermilk to the flour mix and whish until you have a smooth batter.

Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to make sure each piece is coated and set aside.

In another bowl add about a cup of panko breadcrumbs.

Mix all ingredients for sauce and put in the refrigerator.

Coat each shrimp with breadcrumbs, add more to the bowl as needed, and place on prepared baking sheet.

Bake for about 10 min, then flip shrimp and bake for another 5-10 min or until the breadcrumbs turn golden.

Either drizzle the sauce on them or use it as dipping sauce.
