- 3 cups warm milk
- 2 sticks melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 cups flour
- 3 egg whites

Step 1
dissolve yeast in the warm milk. Whisk in 2 sticks melted butter, sugar and egg yolks vanilla, salt and flour. cover and let rise 1 1/2 hours. stir and beat 3 egg whites untill stiff, then fold into the batter. Cook in a waffle iron
* german chocolate waffles: make belgian waffles with 1 cup sugar and just 3 1/2 cups flour. Add 2/3 cup cocoa powder and 1/4 cup melted coconut oil to the batter before rising.
