Goulash- Gloree's Recipe
This is my mom's goulash, and it's husband-approved (he's very picky about his goulash).

Preparation
Step 1
1. *In a saucepan, combine the tomato juice and water, and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
2. While the sauce is boiling, brown ground beef with chopped onion in a large pot or dutch oven, and drain away the fat.
3. Add add all of the remaining ingredients except the beef and onions to the boiling tomato juice mixture, and boil until the pasta is somewhat undercooked (can barely be cut with a spoon).
3. Combine the tomato juice/macaroni mixture with the ground beef mixture. Remove from heat, and let the goulash cool for up to 1/2 hour. The goulash will thicken as it cools. Additional water may be added if a thinner consistency is desired after 1/2 hour.
*This is the fastest method, but it requires 2 pans. If dirty dishes are more of a concern than time, you can brown the beef and onions first, then add the remaining ingredients to the beef mixture and boil as instructed above.
