Ingredients
- Metric Ingredient Imperial
- 1 L water 4 cup
- 1 beef bouillon cube 1
- 250 ml potatoes, chopped 1 cup
- 250 ml carrots, chopped 1 cup
- 250 ml turnip, chopped 1 cup
- 75 ml celery, chopped 1/3 cup
- 75 ml onion, chopped 1/3 cup
- 1 can tomatoes (14 oz / 398 ml) 1
- 1 can kidney beans (14 oz / 398 ml) 1
- 2 ml dried oregano 1/2 tsp
- 2 ml garlic powder 1/2 tsp
- 2 ml paprika 1/2 tsp
- salt & pepper to taste -
- 125 ml green beans, cut up 1/2 cup

Step 1
In a large stock pot; combine water, bouillon cube, potatoes, carrots, turnip, celery, onion, tomatoes, kidney beans and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 1 hour. Add green beans during last 10 minutes of cooking.
