  • 1 L water 4 cup
  • 1 beef bouillon cube 1
  • 250 ml potatoes, chopped 1 cup
  • 250 ml carrots, chopped 1 cup
  • 250 ml turnip, chopped 1 cup
  • 75 ml celery, chopped 1/3 cup
  • 75 ml onion, chopped 1/3 cup
  • 1 can tomatoes (14 oz / 398 ml) 1
  • 1 can kidney beans (14 oz / 398 ml) 1
  • 2 ml dried oregano 1/2 tsp
  • 2 ml garlic powder 1/2 tsp
  • 2 ml paprika 1/2 tsp
  • salt & pepper to taste -
  • 125 ml green beans, cut up 1/2 cup

Preparation

Step 1

In a large stock pot; combine water, bouillon cube, potatoes, carrots, turnip, celery, onion, tomatoes, kidney beans and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 1 hour. Add green beans during last 10 minutes of cooking.
