- HOISIN HAWT DAWGS
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 8 hot dogs

Step 1
Preheat a grill for direct cooking. In a saucepan on the grill, heat the hoisin, sugar, ginger and garlic until it just begins to boil, then simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Score the hot dogs lightly with a sharp knife, then brush with some of the sauce. Grill the dogs 4 to 5 inches from the heat, for about 10 to 12 minutes, basting several times with sauce. When the hot dogs are almost ready, toast the buns lightly over indirect heat. Brush buns with sauce, sprinkle with scallions, and top with grilled hot dogs.
