Ingredients

  • Grind whichever raw organic nuts in your vitamix Experiment! I like the following together,
  • Almonds
  • Hazelnuts
  • Walnuts
  • Peacans
  • 1-2 tsp ground flax seeds
  • Add to the above
  • Whole unsalted sunflower seeds * Pumpkin seeds
  • 1-2 tsp Chia seeds
  • Hulled hemp hearts
  • 85 % or more raw organic cocoa chocolate (optional)
  • Unsweetened coconut flakes to taste (optional)
  • Unsweetened dried cranberries, cherries or blueberries (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all the above ingredients together with an organic natural nut-butter. (Madjool dates also work well to bind all the ingredients together, if you choose this option skip the honey as the dates are already sweet) You can also add in a tiny bit of raw honey or coconut oil. Knead with your hands and either press into a pan and cut into squares or roll into golf ball sized balls. I keep them in the fridge to keep them fresh longer and make extra and freeze. They taste fabulous frozen as well.

OPTIONAL: You can also take the balls and dip them in melted dark chocolate and roll them in coconut flakes or cocoa powder. These taste Sensational! Especially if you use Hazelnuts- taste like Ferraro Rocher :)
