Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup (a small handful) 1-inch pieces broken regular thin spaghetti 1 cup white rice 3 or 4 cloves garlic, grated or chopped (optional)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (optional)
  • 2 cups chicken stock

Preparation

Step 1

Saute the onion and garlic in skillet (large enough to hold the rice and the chicken stock). Then add the rice and broken spaghetti in same skillet, saute until golden. Then add the chicken stock, bring to a boil, then lower and simmer until rice is tender. You can add chopped fresh or dried herbs with the onion & garlic, and salt & pepper if you like.
