KRUMKAKE

My most favorite cookie! I used to make them with my dad at Christmas. When dad was little, he would make them with his mom! Very special memories.

Ingredients

• 3 eggs
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup softened butter
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg or 1 teaspoon cardamom or anise
• 1-3/4 cup flour
• 1/2 cup whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs well; add sugar, butter and nutmeg. Beat together. Add flour and milk alternatively and beat until smooth.

Bake in a hot krumkake iron (when water sizzles on iron). Put approximately ½ tablespoon batter per cookie.

Remove and wrap cookie around wooden cone. Store tightly in a cool place.
