Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (Irene used margarine)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 to 1 -1/4 cup flour
  • NUT FILLING: Soften 3 ounces cream cheese. Blend in 1 cup sifted powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Cream well. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup coconut.
  • FROSTING: Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons margarine and 2 tablespoons water over low heat. Add 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar. Beat until smooth. Frost when cool and filled.

Step 1

Cream butter and add sugar and vanilla. Cream well. Gradually add flour. Shape by teaspoon into balls. Press hole in center of each ball. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes until delilcately brown. Fill while warm, cook and frost.
