Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine softened
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 cups uncooked oatmeal
  • 2 cups (12 ounces) vanilla and/or chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts OPTIONAL

Preparation

Step 1

Beat butter at medium with an electric mixer until thoroughly mixed. Gradually add sugars and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until yolk disappears after each egg.

Stir in vanilla.

Combine flour and other dry ingredients. Gradually add to the butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in oats and pecans.

Drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
