*CALZONE (SALAMI AND MOZZARELLA)

Preparation
Step 1
Use a 13.8 oz tube refrigerated pizza dough and roll out to 9x12 rectangle. Put it on a parchement paper brushed with olive oil. In a bowl beat 2 large eggs and add 1/4 c chopped fresh parsley and 1 tsp lemon zest. Pour half of this mixture into separate bowl and add 1/4 pound shredded mozzarella cheese. Reserve other half of mixture. Spread the cheese mixture over half of rolled out dough. Then add 1/4 pound deli sliced salami that has been cut into strips, then add 1 1/2 c giardiniera (pickled mixed vegetables that have been drained) and top with 1/4 lb sliced provolone cheese. Roll over and crimp edges. Pierce the top a few times with knife. Then bake 15 minutes. Remove and brush with remaining egg mixture and then bake another 5-10 minutes until golden brown. WE TRIED THIS 4/14 AND IT WAS GOOD BUT WE DID NOT DO VEGETABLES AND IN FUTURE LEAVE OFF LEMON.
