Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup water
- 1/2-1 tsp. CHILI POWDER, CAYENNE PEPPER, FAJITA SEASONING or SALSA SALAD SEASONING
- 2 Cups shelled, raw peanuts
- 1 Cup granulated white sugar
- 1 tsp. salt (use 1/4 tsp. salt if seasoning with FAJITA SEASONING or SALSA SALAD)

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine the water and CHILI POWDER or SEASONING of choice. Pour into a heavy duty skillet. Add the peanuts and sugar and mix well. Cook over medium-high to high heat, stirring constantly until all of the liquid is absorbed and the nuts are dry and coated with sugar, somewhere between 10-20 minutes. Don't leave them alone or they'll burn. Sprinkle with salt. Transfer to a parchment or foil-lined jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through baking. Let cool and store in an airtight container.

Cooking time: 20-30 minutes
Yield: about 3 1/4 cups
