Ingredients
- 1 pkg. 1/4 oz. active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 1/4 cup mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 8 to 8 1/2 cups all purpose flour, divided
- 2 eggs, beaten

Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve yeast in water. In sauce pan milk, shortening, potatoes. Cook & stir over low heat until shortening melts. Mix with all ingredients. Stand 2 hours until sponge-like. Stir enough flour to beat soft dough. Knead until elastic(6 min).
In greased bowl, grease top 1 hour rise in warm place. Punch dough. Roll crescent. 400' 15 min.
