Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. potatoes peeled and cut into 2 inch chunks
  • 1 teasp. salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped green cabbage sliced thin
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped green onion
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/8 teasp. butter

Preparation

Step 1

1. place pototoes in cold water to cover 2 inches. add 1/2 salt. Bring to boil and boil 5 mins. Add cabbage and boil 10 mpre mins.

2. Place green onion in sieve and pour boiling water over and drain.

3. Add drained onions to milk in saucepan. Add butter and remaindedr 1/2 teasp. salt then add pepper.

4. Drain potatoes and cabbage, return to large saucepan. Beat with electric mixer on low until coarsely mashed incrfease to high and gradually add milk to mixture.
