Ingredients
- 3/4 c whole wheat flour
- 3/4 c all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp sugar, divided
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c All-Bran original
- 1/2 c skim milk
- 2 egg whites
- 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 jar (11 oz) apple butter
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 sliced, small, unpeeled apple cut into wedges

Preparation
Step 1
Stir together flours, 2 Tbsp of the sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside
In large mixing bowl, combine All-Bran cereal and milk. Let stand about 2 minutes or until cereal softens. Add egg whites and oil. Beat well. Stir in apple butter. Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined. Portion batter evenly into twelve 2 1/2-inch muffin-pan cups coated with cooking spray. Stir together remaining 1 Tbsp sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of muffin batter. Top with apple wedges.
Bake at 400 degrees F about 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
