Ingredients
- 1/2 cup long grain rice
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup raisins

Preparation
Step 1
Stir all ingredients (except raisins ) together in a buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole. Bake in slow oven 300 degrees for 1 hour without disturbing rice. Reduce the temperature to 250 degrees and continue baking for 1 1/2 hours. Add raisins 1/2 hour before removing from oven.
