Ingredients

  • Cinnamon filling:
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 3 Tb yeast
  • 3 Tb salt
  • 3 Tb sugar
  • 13 cups flour
  • 3 tsp cinnamon
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins, cranberries or combo
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan pieces
  • Egg wash

Step 1

Mix in Kitchenaid mixer. Remove to lightly floured surface & knead. Put dough in oiled bowl, covered, let rise for 1-2 hours. Turn out dough & punch down..

Divide dough into loaf sizes. Roll out dough into rectangles. Sprinkle w/ sugar & cinnamon, raisins & pecan pieces. Roll up bread & pinch ends to seal. Put in loaf pans seam side down. Let rest 1 hour 40 min. Brush w/ egg wash & top w/ raw sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 min.
