AGNES’ BOILED ICE CREAM MIXTURE

This is a very old recipe we used to make on the farm for holidays and especially in the winter as we needed a lot of ice for our old fashioned churn ice cream maker.

Ingredients

• 4 cups whole milk
• 2 eggs (grandma used 4)
• Little salt
• 1 tablespoon flour
• 1-1/2 cups sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cook together.

When thoroughly cooked, fill ice cream freezer with milk and cream.

Makes up one gallon ice cream.
