  • 20 pound turkey

Preparation

Step 1

Wash turkey inside and out.

Pat dry and then add salt. Remove neck and giblets and wash.

Fill with stuffing and close the cavities shut. Cover with melted shortening.

Bake one hour at 500 degrees.

Bake second hour at 400 degrees.

Remaining hours at 350 degrees until turkey is done.
