Ingredients
- 4 lb. pot roast
- 1 tsp. seasoning spice
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 T oil
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper
- 1 sliced onion
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 can beef broth, consomme, or 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup wine
- 2 T worcesteshire
- 1 package onion soup mix

Preparation
Step 1
Mix spice, salt & pepper together and rub into meat. Heat oil in large saute pan and brown meat on all sides. Transfer to heavy pot. Add onion and garlic to pan and saute. Put bay leaves and onion, garlic on roast. Deglaze pan with 1/2 cup red wine. Mix soups, red wine, onion soup mix and worcesteshire sauce together and pour over roast. Place parchment paper on top , then cover with lid. Roast in over about 4 - 5 hours. Thicken gravy if need be.
