Oriental Cole Slaw

This recipe goes way back to my teaching days at Nippert School in Des Plaines, IL. Deb Santell always made this slaw salad for all of our teacher parties and it was always a favorite and very delicious.

Ingredients
- Slaw:
- 1 package instant vegetable flavored oriental noodles
- 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- Dressing:
- 1/2 cup vegetables oil
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Break apart the oriental noodles into small pieces. Do not use the seasoning packet inside, you may discard this. Add the cabbage, onions, almonds and sesame seeds to the noodles and mix.
Combine the dressing ingredients wish a whisk and pour over the slaw and mix throughly.
Salt and pepper to taste.
If desired, you could add diced chicken to the salad.
