Ingredients

  • 3 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1/4 cup shallots minced
  • 1/2 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp worcestshire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

1. in mixing bowl toss bread crumbs with 1/2 cup milk and let stand for 5 minutes
2. In a skillet melt margarine and add shallots, cooking two minutes over medium heat
3. Add shallots, meat, egg, salt, pepper into bread and milk mixture
4. Mix well and form into balls. Place 1/4 cup of flour on wax paper and roll meatballs in flour coating evenly.
5. Place meatballs in slow cooker and cover with broth and worcestershire sauce. Cook over low for 4 hours.
6. Mix 2 tbps flour with remaining 1/2 cup milk. Stir thickened milk into juices after removing meatballs and cook for 15 minutes.
