Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe beefsteak or similar tomatoes, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/4 small red onion, minced
  • 1/4 serrano or jalapeno pepper, seeds and membrane removed, minced, or 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro or to taste
  • 1 tsp fresh chopped oregano, or a pinch of dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Lime juice to taste (optional)
