Shrimp Creole

Ingredients

  • Fatback on bacon drippings and butter
  • 1 C onions
  • 1 C bell pepper
  • 2 ribs celery
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 16 oz can tomatoes
  • 1 12 oz can sauce
  • 1/2 C water
  • 1 Tbls worchestire sauce
  • dash tabasco
  • 1/2 Tsp chili powder
  • 1 Tsp paprika
  • 1 Tbls sugar
  • 1 Tsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbls salt
  • 1/4 Tsp pepper
  • 3 C peeled shrimp

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions, bell pepper, celery and garlic. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 1 hour. Add shrimp and cook until pink.

Serve over rice.
