Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 1-1/2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 tsp pepper

Step 1
Sprinkle green beans with salt and arrange in a steamer basket over boiling water; cover and steam 10 minutes or until tender-crisp.
Saute onion in 1 Tbsp hot oil in a skillet over medium heat until tender; add 1 tsp sugar, and cook over low heat 5-7 minutes until golden. Add chopped garlic and saute 1 minute. Add 1/2 tsp pepper and green beans, tossing to coat. Drizzle remaining 1/2 tsp oil over beans.
