  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp. milk
  • 2 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted

Step 1


Thaw folded pastry sheets 20 min., unfold gently and cut along folds, making 6 rectangles about 3”x10”. Prick each sheet thoroughly with a fork and bake on ungreased baking sheet in preheated 350 oven for 18-20 min. Cool. Prepare pudding according to directions, substituting 1 c. sour cream and ½ c. milk for the 2 cups milk. Make icing: blend sugar and milk to make a smooth consistency. Spread on top of two pastry sheets. To decorate, dip a toothpick into melted chocolate, draw parallel lines crosswise and lengthwise on frosted pastry sheets. Evenly spread pudding on two of the remaining pastry sheets. Cover with a second pastry sheet and spread with rest of pudding. Top with decorated pastry sheets. Chill at least 30 min. before cutting each assembled pastry into 5 or 6 equal portions.
