Ingredients
- GLAZE:
- 1 cup (4 oz) walnuts
- 2 Tbsps all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup butter
- 9 oz semi-sweet chocolate
- 6 eggs, lightly beaten
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp dry instant coffee
- 2 Tbsps water
- Combine 1/4 cup whipping cream, 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, and 1 tsp each vanilla extract and dry instant coffee in pan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.

Preparation
Step 1
In food processor, finely grind walnuts with flour.
Melt chocolate and butter in top of double boiler over simmering water.
Beat eggs and sugar 1 minute.
Beat in melted chocolate mixture and vanilla.
Blend in walnut mixture.
Dissolve coffee in hot water. Beat into batter.
Pour into greased and floured 9-inch cake pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean.
Cool in pan 15 minutes, then remove from pan. Cool on wire rack.
Pour warm glaze over cooled cake. Spread down over sides. Chill to set glaze.
