Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 cup applesauce
- pinch of salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup nuts
- 1/2 cup raisins

Step 1
Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, beat well.
Add applesauce and the dry ingredients, nuts and raisins.
Mix well.
Press into patties.
Bake at 350° F. for 8-12 minutes.
