Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe calls for these to be "monster" size...drop by 1/4 cup measures 2" apart for 10-14 minutes. They also work dropped from tablespoon and baked for 10-12 minutes.

Ingredients
- 4-1/4 cup flour
- 1 teas. baking powder
- 1 teas. baking soda
- 1 teas. salt
- 1-1/2 cups butter, softened
- 1-1/4 cup sugar
- 1-1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbls. vanilla
- 12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chips or chunks

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375.
Combine dry ingredients in bowl and set aside. In large bowl, combine butter and sugars. Beat at medium speed. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips or chunks.
Drop by rounded tablespoons (or 1/4 cup for big cookies) on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes for normal cookies. Bake 10-14 minutes for big cookies. Cool slightly on cookie sheet before removing to wire racks to cool.
