  • 1 chicken (3 1/2 pounds), cut into pieces
  • garlic powder
  • soy sauce

Step 1

1) Preheat oven to a broil.

2) Wash and thoroughly dry the chicken pieces. Sprinkle with garlic powder, if desired. Rub soy sauce on each piece, covering thoroughly. Place the chicken on a baking sheet or pan, and broil 7-9" from the broiler, turning to brown all sides. Keep rubbing on additional soy sauce when turning chicken.

3) When the chicken is brown, turn the heat down to 325 and cook pieces 30-35 minutes longer. Serve hot, warm, or cold. (If served hot, sauce is good spooned over rice).
