Tropical Orange Bread

This is my recipe using the fresh fruit from my orchard. Especially good w/ my pineapple-oranges. People love this seasonal bread that I bake for as long as my oranges last!

Ingredients
- Glaze:
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- Orange zest from 1 orange
- 1/2 cup orange juice (fresh of course!)
- 2 cups AP flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup tropical fruit
- 1/2 cups nut pieces
- Juice of 1 orange
- 1/4 cup sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Mix together dry ingredients (except sugar) in med bowl, set aside.
Beat sugar & butter. Add eggs 1 at a time beating after each addition. Add orange juice & zest beating again. Add dry ingredients beat until just mixed (do not over mix).
Add fruit & nuts fold in w/ wooden spoon.
Grease & flour pans add batter & bake at 325 degrees for 28-38 min. ( inside ovens bake faster than outside)
