Ingredients

  • 4

    cups large oats

  • 1

    cup sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds

  • 4

    tablespoons sesame seeds

  • 1

    cup hazelnuts or pecans roughly chopped (I prefer pecans)

  • 1/2

    cup of almonds roughly chopped (I have used slivered and sliced almonds)

  • 1/2

    cup light flavored olive oil or sunflower oil

  • 1/2

    cup honey or maple syrup

  • 2

    cups of mixed dried berries such as cranberries, cherries, blueberries, currants or raisins

Directions

1. Preheat oven at 275*. Mix together the oats, seeds and nuts in a bowl. 2. Heat oil and honey in large a small sauce pan until melted and blended. Add honey/oil to oat/nut mixture and stir well until well coated. 3.Spread evenly on cookie sheet. 4. Bake for 45 minutes until crisp, stirring every fifteen minutes to prevent from sticking and allow to brown evenly. 5. Let cool, stirring occasionally to prevent from sticking, once cooled add berries.
