Booty-Blasting Burger

This easy salmon burger from Daphne Oz will fill you up without adding inches to your waistline. Ponzu sauce adds bold flavor, so there is no need for extra salt. Lemon zest gives these burgers a fresh, delicious taste.

Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon, 1/3 chopped in machine; the rest hand chopped to about 1/8-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup black beans, drained, rinsed and mashed
- 1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp white wine
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp ponzu sauce
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- 3/4 cup Vidalia onions
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Freshly ground pepper
- Pinch of salt

Preparation
Step 1
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
Form patties by hand. An ideal size is 3/4” thick.
Over medium heat, heat olive oil. Cook patties 5 minutes on each side or until slightly golden.
Serve with a whole wheat bun, brown rice and a side salad with vinaigrette.
