Ingredients
- Red Onions- Shredded 900 grams
- Garlic- Finely Chopped 75 grams
- Red Wine 450 ml
- Red Wine Vinegar 150 ml
- Olive Oil 45 ml
- Honey 75 grams
- Butter 90 grams
- Thyme 7 grams
- Bay Leaf 3 grams
- Salt- To taste
- Pepper- To taste

Preparation
Step 1
In a saucepan heat the olive oil, add the prepared red onions and garlic, sauté until translucent, do not allow them to colour them too much. Add the salt, pepper, butter, honey, bay leaf and thyme. Add the red wine and red wine vinegar. Allow to cook for approximately 30 minutes on a low heat, adjust the season. When the correct consistency has been reached remove from the heat and cool in a water bath.
