Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cups whipping cream
  • 3 T butter (no substitutes)
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 cup vanilla or white chips
  • 2 T shortening, divided
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

In microwave safe bowl, heat chocolate chips, whipping cream and butter on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes. Stir, then heat an additional 2-3 minutes or until melted. Add vanilla; cool.

Refrigerate until almost solid but still workable (about 1 hour). Shape into 1/2 inch balls. Melt white chips and 1 T shortening in the microwave. Dip balls and set on waxed paper to dry. Melt milk chocolate chips and remaining shortening; dip balls again and allow to dry.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
