Chocolate Covered Cherry Bites

• Ingredients:
• Devils Food cake mix (don't follow the directions on the box)
• 2/3 C shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 (10 oz) jar maraschino cherries
• 1 1/2 T cherry juice from maraschino cherries
• White chocolate for dipping

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cake mix, shortening, eggs, and juice together. Pat dough around each cherry, tightly. Bake at 350 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes. Cool thoroughly.

Melt white chocolate in microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat until smooth and melted. Dip each cookie and allow to dry on cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Drizzle melted chocolate chips over the top of each cookie. Store in an air-tight container.
