- 1 ½ lbs. lean ground beef
- 1 ½ t. salt
- 1 cup uncooked instant rice
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1/4 t. pepper

Step 1
Mix ground beef, rice, onion and seasonings together, making 1-inch balls. Fry, turning often, until browned. Transfer meatballs to a casserole dish and cover with tomato sauce and water. Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until meatballs are done in the center.
