Quiet cake (grandma Marian)

Ingredients

• 9 Eggs , separated when cold and then left to come to room temp.
• 1 1/2 Cups sugar
• 1/4 Cup cake meal
• 1/4 Cup potato starch
• 6 ounces (2/3 cup)grated semi sweet chocolate

Preparation

Step 1

Get two bowls - one large, one small.

1. Separate eggs -whites into large bowl and yolks into small bowl

2. Beat egg whites until stiff.

3. Beat in 1 tablespoon of sugar at a time.

4. Add one yolk at a time and continue beating at a lower speed.

5. Mix the dry ingredients together in another bowl and gentle sprinkle over the top of the egg mixture, carefully FOLDING it in.

Pour into a tube pan and bake for one one hour at 35o degrees.

6. When done, place pan upside down in towel or paper towel. Let cool.
