Ingredients
- 12-oz can cherry pie filling
- 1 t. almond extract
- 1 baked pound cake or angel food cake, sliced 1/2"
- thick
- Garnish: softened butter powdered sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Combine pie filling and extract ina small bowl; set aside. Spread cake sliceslightly on one side with butter. Place one cake slice butter-side down in a cast iron pie iron; top with one to 2 tablespooons pie filling nd a second cak slice butter-side up. Close pie iron; cook over a grill or campfire utnil toasted and heated through, 4-6 minutes. Sprinkle pie wtih powdered sugar; repeat with remaining cake and pie filling.
