Ingredients
- 3/4 c butter
- 3/4 c cocoa
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- cocoa or powdered sugar

Step 1
In a heavy saucepan over low heat, milk butter. Add cocoa; stir until smooth. Blend in condensed milk; stir constantly until mixture is thick, smooth and glossy - about 4 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Chill 3-4 hours, or until firm.
Shape into 1-1/4 in balls; roll in cocoa or powdered sugar (or chopped nuts, if desired).
Chill until firm, 1-2 hours.
Store covered, in refrigerator.
*Rum Nut Truffles: Decrease vanilla to 1 tsp. Stir in 2-3 tsp rum or 1 tsp rum extract and 3/4 c coarsely chopped toasted nuts.
*Espresso Truffles: Decrease vanilla to 1 tsp. Stir in 1-1/4 tsp instant espresso coffee with vanilla.
