- 1 T. sugar
- 2 t. salt
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 T. water
- 1/4 c. coarse salt

Step 1
dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in sugar and salt until dissolved. Add flour; mix well. Turn onto floured board; knead 5 minute. Divide dough into 16 equal pieces. roll into thin strips; shape into pretzels. Place on a well-greased baking sheet. Beat egg yolk with wataer; brush on pretzels. sprinkle with salt; bake at 425 degreese for 15-20 minutes, until golden.
