Ingredients

  • Brownies:
  • 4 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 2/3 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • Icing:
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2-3 tbsp boiling strong coffee

Preparation

Step 1

Melt chocolate and butter over hot water. Beat eggs and sugar until thick and lemon colored. Add sifted flour salt and vanilla. Slowly add choc/butter mixture.

Pour into buttered and floured pan cookie sheet/jelly roll pan
(These are fairly thin brownies )

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Ice while warm

Icing:
cream butter, add coffee, melted chocolate and vanilla. keep beating and add sugar until correct consistancy
