Ingredients

  • 1/2

    cup butter, melted

  • 1/2

    cup packed brown sugar

  • 1/4

    cup dark corn syrup

  • 1 1/2

    cups pecan halves

  • 1

    18 1/4 oz. package butter pecan cake mix

  • 1

    cup sour cream

  • 1/3

    cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 2

    eggs

  • 2

    egg whites

  • 1

    tsp. vanilla

Directions

In a small bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and pecans. Spread evenly into a 13x9 baking pan coated with cooking spray. set aside. In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; beat with a mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium for 2 minutes. Transfer to prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before inverting onto a serving platter. Serve warm or at room temperature.
